Generator equipment and installation configurations

Build the complete standby-power installation
Genesis Prime Group provides generator sales and installation services for commercial and industrial projects in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties. We organize the work around your property's electrical needs and construction conditions: equipment selection, site preparation, electrical integration, fuel systems and a defined turnover scope.
Whether you are adding backup power to an existing property or planning a new development, start before the equipment order. The right project definition connects the generator to the building it will serve.

What the installation scope can include
Our service offering includes diesel, natural-gas and LP generators; sizing and load calculations; concrete pads and slabs; enclosures; exhaust and muffler systems; fuel tanks; day tanks; replacement; upgrades; and relocation. An installation proposal identifies which items apply to your site and which services are included in the price.
Transfer equipment, electrical connections and the fuel arrangement need to be coordinated with the selected generator. Design and regulated trade responsibilities are identified in the contract, rather than assuming the generator purchase includes every discipline or approval.
Define the loads before selecting the unit
A list of the equipment you want to support is more useful than a request for a generator based only on the building's main breaker. Identify selected business operations, required building systems, future equipment and any loads that can be managed or sequenced.
The design review considers the actual voltage and phase, operating demand and starting characteristics. Manufacturer sizing resources model loads and their sequence because a running-load total is not the only equipment-selection question. Existing service size is background information, not permission to size a commercial generator from amperage alone.
For a restaurant, identify refrigeration, kitchen equipment and any ventilation or cooling priorities. For a condominium or hotel, identify the intended common systems and the parties responsible for their operation. These operating objectives must be reconciled with the system's applicable design requirements.
Review the generator-sizing planning guide.
Verify the installation location and access
Before final equipment selection, review the proposed footprint and how the unit will reach it. A suitable location needs more than enough room for the enclosure. Delivery, lifting, service access, adjacent openings, service routing, property constraints and the support arrangement need project-specific review.
Our pad, enclosure and exhaust offerings support that construction scope. Where an existing structure or elevated equipment platform is involved, the appropriate design professional must evaluate the proposed arrangement. No standard pad or generic setback is treated as suitable for every commercial property.
The estimate should also identify excavation, utility conflicts, trench restoration, paving, landscaping and any temporary restriction to parking or access that is included.
Coordinate the fuel supply, ATS and electrical work
Natural gas at the property does not establish that the existing supply arrangement suits the proposed generator. The equipment's fuel requirements and the supply conditions must be reviewed. Diesel and LP proposals should identify storage, delivery access and associated system work.
The electrical scope identifies transfer equipment, new connections and distribution modifications. An ATS rating is not, by itself, a generator sizing result. Equipment interfaces and responsibility for controls, startup and testing should be resolved before installation.

A practical construction sequence
Define the project. Review the property, power objectives, available documents and required investigation.
Coordinate design and approvals. Identify the responsible professionals, permitting authority, equipment interfaces and procurement dependencies.
Execute the installation. Organize site work, equipment delivery, trade work, inspections, shutdowns and restoration around the approved scope.
Complete testing and turnover. Identify startup responsibility, the required tests, owner instruction and records. Load-bank testing, transfer testing and integrated-system testing should be specified rather than treated as interchangeable labels.
The sequence is adapted to the site. We do not promise a fixed installation time before equipment availability, reviews and operating constraints have been established.
Work at occupied properties
Tell us the acceptable work hours, delivery restrictions and operational deadlines. Identify tenants, building staff or other service companies that need to participate in shutdowns or testing. Temporary power, where needed, belongs in the estimate rather than becoming a last-minute assumption.

Compare complete installation proposals
A useful proposal separates equipment, design, permitting, delivery and lifting, site work, electrical and fuel work, testing and restoration. Ask what remains excluded and who owns the next decision when existing conditions are unknown.
Can we install only enough capacity for selected loads?
That option can be evaluated through the load review and distribution design. The selected arrangement must also meet the project's applicable requirements.
Can an installation include a generator we purchase directly?
Provide its specification and purchase status. The installation review must establish compatibility and assign delivery, startup, damage, warranty and return responsibilities.
Does the same permit checklist apply in all three counties?
No. Start with the actual address and the responsible authority. See the Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe project pages.
